A mowbuddy partner is an independent contractor who we subcontract work to. This means they are in control of the hours they work and schedule the work directly with the customer.
Not yet. We instead have a web app that you can access via your browser on any device. Visit https://bookings.mowbuddy.com.au to book a mowbuddy.
This is because we do not have a mowbuddy partner servicing your area. We keep our mowbuddy partners zoned so that they don’t have to travel far for new work. We do email registered users when a mowbuddy partner becomes available in their area.
Yes you can! Click Here to be taken straight to the booking portal as a guest.
Not all the time unfortunately. This is because lawn types can vary from one another.
Here are some reasons as to why the cost may change upon inspection:
This is absolutely ok as your mowbuddy will inspect the job before they begin work and let you know if there needs to be a change in the cost due to a possible mistake with your size selection.
We also double check your lawn size via GPS technology to confirm accuracy.
This is common. Grass can grow very rapidly from the day you made a booking till the day your mowbuddy arrives. Grass height and density plays a big role in the amount of effort needed to mow it.
Unfortunately this means there may be a chance that the cost will change on the day of the job is booked. If however you are unhappy with new price, then you do not need to go ahead with the job.
We have found that the best way for our contractors to schedule in new work is to give them the opportunity to select a date and time first. This is why we only give you the option of “Weekdays” or “Weekends”.
If you have a specific day of the week, you can add it in the “Additional Comments” section of the booking process.
It’s ok we are happy to take some back with us even if you let us use your green bin. There may be a case where your mowbuddy will ask if they can leave some in the garden to use as mulch.
A mowbuddy partner will contact you and schedule a time. That’s it!
It helps if you can provide photos of your lawn to your mowbuddy, which they may request from you. We also encourage that on the day before the job to please make sure any mess or hazards such as bikes, kids toys, and dog poo have been cleared.
Not by a long shot, many grass types vary and thrive in different conditions. The most common are summer type grasses such as Buffalo, Kykuyu and Couch grass, which grow thick and strong during Spring - Autumn. Especially if they get lots of water and sunshine.
We recommend regular mows for the best outcome in lawn health and appearance. This means before your lawn gets above ankle height (15cm). So for Melbourne, normally once a month during May - August and once a fortnight during September - April.
Just let your mowbuddy know and then wait for a customer service representative to contact you and organise which solution that works best for you. Please go here to view our packages.
No worries at all! Please leave us a message in “Additional Comments” via the booking portal so we know in advance, or you can simply ask your mowbuddy partner what other services you’d like.
Remember, other services will be at an additional cost that will not show up on your quote.
Yes please.
We encourage that you clear items such as bikes, kids toys, BBQ’s, rubbish, dog poo etc. This allows for the most efficient completion of the job, also you may be charged an additional fee if a mowbuddy is needed to clear the backyard for you.
We only accept credit / debit card payments via our online payment system. You’ll receive a tax invoice in your account’s email address after the job has been completed.
These things happen! However our policy states that if we do not receive payment until your next booked job, we cannot release a mowbuddy to come mow your lawn until payment is made.
In saying that we are more than happy to work with you if you need an extension due to other circumstances.
We have a password recovery process that you can access when you click on the “Forgot my password” link within the login page.
Please check if you are spelling your email address correctly and if you are entering in the right password. You can try multiple times, we won’t block you.
